According to the lunar calendar, the annual full moon in August, this has become the children's New Year (children festival), it also known as New Moon Festival or Reunion’s Tet. Children are looking forward to this festival because they are usually given toys by adult especially star lantern, masks, China lantern, water guns, toy figurine ... and pies, sticky rice cake. On this festival, people organize the party, enjoy the moonlight. When the moon is high, children will sing and enjoy the moonlight in the party. In some places, there are lion dance, and dragon dance for children to enjoy. This is also the best time for the members were reunited with their family to share the fun and share the interesting things in life. However, there are many circumstances that people can not enjoy a Mid-Autumn Festival with members and family to have cozy moments together.

Partly sharing the love for the children, although chilrens are orphans, they are not lonely, there is always the love of people everywhere in Vietnam, especially, Nguyen Lam father is always loving the children, expects them to be healthy, mature and useful to the society.
Phuc Lam's homeless shelter is home for the unfortunate life created by the founder Nguyen Lam. The shelter has 42 orphans: 18 newborns, 24 infants from 1 to 8 years old. At present, Phuc Lam's homeless shelter is in great difficulty and needs the help and support of the local and foreign benefactors to support children in spirit, physical, and to attend school.
