On October 20, 1930, the Vietnam Women's Day (now renamed the Vietnam Women's Union) was officially established. Communist Party of Vietnam officially chooses October 20 as the traditional day of the Association, also recognizing it as a day of celebration and recognition of Vietnamese women, named "Vietnam Women's Day".
